Drop Access is a Kenyan social enterprise founded with a bold mission: to make essential healthcare and climate-smart innovations accessible to the most underserved communities. Born out of a deep understanding of the barriers rural populations face—particularly in accessing life-saving vaccines and medicines.
Drop Access was founded by a visionary engineer and advocate for health equity and energy access for all. The journey began with the development of VacciBox, a portable solar-powered fridge that ensures temperature-sensitive medical supplies reach even the most remote areas.
Then it escalated to ensuring that all these rural households they served had access to sustainable energy solutions too. What started as a response to real-world challenges has grown into a movement—building locally made, tech-enabled solutions that bridge healthcare and energy gaps, giving power back to the rural communities, and driving African-led innovation
